The Fly
A cosmic and surreal journey through the minuscule – yet gigantic – life of an ordinary fly. From its accidental birth to its inevitable fate, a mad, poetic and wild world unfolds before us, where everything – absolutely everything – comes to life: objects born from rubbish, emotions built from nothing, gestures that speak louder than words.
A single actor on stage, yet within him a thousand characters, a thousand universes, who, through sounds, noises, spits, creaks and whispers, tells a story that is ours, everyday and absurd, true and distorted as in a broken mirror.
It is the story of someone trying to understand the world without having the time to learn it. Of a little fly that collides with the overbearing love of parents, with the judgement of passers-by, with the confusion between chocolate and... something quite different.
The boundary between the real and the absurd dissolves, in a language made of recycled materials and pure imagination. A show that moves between squares and streets, surprising, shaking, moving and making you laugh where you least expect it. Because even in the smallest, most scurrying of lives, there lies all the chaos – and the miracle – of existence. Following ‘IL Uomo mangia carta’ there will be a story, a tale, fantastical yet at the same time real and everyday, which involves nature and our way of behaving towards it, but love always resolves it.
