THE IMPERIAL STREET THE CHURCH OF SAINT THOMAS
The small church of St Thomas the Apostle is located on the outskirts of Cavedago, on a panoramic relief open towards the Valle di Non and crowned by the mountains of the Brenta group. A small jewel of 16th-century Trentino architecture, its origins date back to the end of the 13th century for the ancient frescoes that decorate it and the evocative image of St Thomas the Apostle. We will get to know the famous route of the Via Imperiale from Sporminore to Molveno: the ancient road that once connected the Non valley with the saddle of Andalo and on which the little church overlooked to protect travellers.
Finally, in the panoramic area of the little church we will take a journey through the history of Cavedago with its farms and its characteristic three-arched bridge, unique in the region.
