The ‘Biblioigloo’, a high altitude library in an igloo!
A unique space that promotes reading! with books for children, teenagers and families.
A unique space that promotes reading!
At 1,333 metres, surrounded by snow and mountains, there is a special igloo that houses books, stories and lots of imagination. The Biblioigloo is a transparent dome-shaped library, created in 2014 thanks to Funivie Valle Bianca and Biblioteche della Paganella, with the patronage of the UNESCO Dolomites Foundation. Here you will find books, comics, magazines and new publications to browse through on site or take home with your free card. There is also Wi-Fi and access to MLOL, Italy's largest digital library.
But it's not just about reading: at the Biblioigloo, children can create, discover and play.
- With Bibliolab (from 4 years old), a different workshop starts every hour: painting, building, nature and mountains become a source of inspiration.
- For the little ones (0-3 years old) there is the world of Biblioplay: play corners with toy kitchens, Lego, manual activities and a dark den full of magic light and shadows.
- After books and workshops, the fun continues at Gaggia Park, with inflatables, moving carpets and snow tubes for sliding down the snow.
Biblioigloo is part of the Paganella Kinder Club circuit and is located at the arrival point of the Andalo - Prati di Gaggia cable car.
