The ‘Biblioigloo’, a high altitude library in an igloo!
A high altitude library with books for children, young people and families. Come and discover it in Dolomiti Paganella
A unique space that invites you to read!
At an altitude of 1,333 metres, nestled amongst the greenery of the Prati di Gaggia, the Biblioigloo is a one-of-a-kind library: a transparent dome where you can relax, read and enjoy creative moments in the mountains.
Established in 2014 through a collaboration between Funivie Valle Bianca and the Paganella Libraries, under the patronage of the UNESCO Dolomites Foundation, it has become a meeting place for families and young readers.
Inside, you’ll find books, comics, magazines and plenty of new releases to browse on the spot or borrow with a free library card. Wi-Fi and access to MLOL, Italy’s largest digital library, are also available.
During the summer, the Biblioigloo also runs Bibliolab sessions (for children aged 4 and over), creative workshops inspired by nature, the mountains and the imagination.
The Biblioigloo is part of the Paganella Kinder Club circuit and is located at the arrival point of the Andalo - Prati di Gaggia gondola.
