An exhibition illustrating the characteristics of the landscapes of the Dolomites and the main challenges posed by the Good presenting an original introduction to the knowledge of these extraordinary mountains.
The Adamello Brenta Nature Park in collaboration with the Library of the Paganella Plateau and the Municipality of Andalo proposes the exhibition:
"THE DOLOMITES UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE SITE. GEOLOGICAL PHENOMENA AND HUMAN LANDSCAPES".
The exhibition is a project of the Fondazione Dolomiti UNESCO and promoted as part of the activities of the Training and Scientific Research Network coordinated by the Autonomous Province of Trento through the Tsm|Scuola per il Governo del Territorio e del Paesaggio.
The exhibition is financed through the Fondo Comuni Confinanti.
The exhibition aims to illustrate the characteristics of the landscapes of the Dolomites and the main challenges posed by the Good by presenting an original introduction to the knowledge of these extraordinary mountains and promoting a communication model aimed in particular at the younger generations that combines landscape, environment and territory education with citizenship training.
The guiding themes of the exhibition are Nature and Culture, Geology and Landscape to be understood as keys to understanding facts that combine, in the historical dimension and in contemporary experience, natural aspects and social practices.
The exhibition itinerary is developed around four thematic areas and is aimed at promoting knowledge of the Dolomites and the values that have allowed them to be included in the list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites:
- the Dolomites, a UNESCO World Heritage Site;
- nature and human landscapes of the Dolomites;
- the frequentations of the Dolomites;
- the nine UNESCO Dolomite systems.
